This role is in the DroneShield Sydney headquarters in Pyrmont, Sydney. There are approximately 300 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 400 staff by end of 2025. Overseas on the ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Denmark, Germany and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally.
About the role
DroneShield is seeking an IT Support and Systems Administrator with relevant experience to join the team in Sydney, NSW.
The position will report to the Information Systems and Security Manager.
This role will be a key position within the DroneShield Systems Infrastructure team whose primary responsibilities include support on all Information Systems to the required stakeholders.
Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations
- Provide first point of IT support contact for all staff
- Provisioning of workstations for users with various company SOE and requirements
- Understanding of up-to-date IT related security practices
- Implementation and configuration of IT hardware and software solutions for end-users
- Troubleshoot all ICT related issues
- Manage Helpdesk tickets, planning and prioritisation, systemically to minimise backlog and ensure operational efficiency
- The candidate needs to demonstrate being proactive, ability to work unsupervised, thinking on their feet and doing a wide variety of various task
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Expertise in MS Entra ID and MDM administration
- Understanding of Windows, MacOS and Linux OS environments
- Experience working with backup solutions for on-premises and cloud environments
- Troubleshooting experience on corporate hardware, software, printers, digital signage and AV solutions
- Proficiency using tools such as PowerShell and Bash
- Relevant exposure to incident management tools
- Demonstrate an understanding of IT asset management
- Prior experience at an MSP is desirable
