About Us:
The Justice Officer is a position in Corrections and Justice Services within the Department of Justice and Community Safety (DJCS), North West Metropolitan Area (NWMA).
Located across the NWMA are fourteen non-custodial locations in the Melbourne CBD, Broadmeadows, Coolaroo, Reservoir, South Morang, Melton, Sunshine, Werribee, Derrimut, Laverton, Tullamarine and Thomastown, plus the Neighbourhood Justice Centre in Collingwood, and the Court Services Unit at the Melbourne Magistrates Court. There are four Youth Justice office locations in Broadmeadows, Reservoir, Werribee and Sunshine.
About the Role:
The Justice Officer provides administration and client services, as required by the locations and the region. The role is part of a regional administration team, that provide a commitment to team building and the efficient delivery of administrative services across the region. The region delivers a range of Justice Services including Community Correctional Service, Sheriff's operations, Consumer Affairs and from of house enquires including Births, Deaths and Marriages application lodgements.
This position is based at Werribee JSC and will require to support Melton JSC and the Laverton Sherriff hub.
Some of your duties will include:
- Providing information and assistance to clients, internal and external stakeholders and the public including the collation, review and processing of applications.
- Greeting and liaising with clients and stakeholders and provide accurate advice and information in relation to Justice Services in accordance with business processes.
- Providing corporate services support functions including finance and procurement, human resource and fleet and facility maintenance.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Well-developed computer literacy.
- Experience in working in a multi-disciplinary service delivery team would be advantageous.
- A driver's license is therefore preferred but not essential.
