The Role
We're on the lookout for a Kitchen Hand and Prep Chef with minimum 1 year of experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations - Preparing sauce and pasta
- During busy periods, you will be responsible for operating the service oven for warming products, managing the dockets and working closely with FOH team to ensure smooth service.
- Bulk Preperation - Manage and execute bulk prep jobs such as sausage roll production, fillings, custards, vegetable processing and any other cooking assistance required by the baking team.
- Stock Management - Ensuring all ingredients are ordered, stored and prepared correctly for your section and your prep jobs.
- Safety & Compliance: Must be comfortable working with and tasting a wide range of ingredients, as quality control is a key responsibility of this role. Ensuring all products meet strict food safety and compliance standards is essential.
What We’re Looking For
- Valid working rights in Australia. Must be available to work weekends.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar environment. You must be comfortable working in kitchens and have experience in food handling, with strong food safety knowledge.
- Good communication skills, with a solid sense of initiative and ability to manage your tasks and your time.
