- FIFO 8 days on/6 days off/7 nights on/7 nights off
- Salary $85k to $95k
SGS is seeking a motivated and experiences Laboratory Supervisor to join our team on a FIFO basis in at our laboratory in Pilgangoora, WA. Working within a dynamic and safety-focused environment, you’ll be responsible for the operation of the laboratory in the absence of the Laboratory Manager. Manage the day to day operations of the Laboratory to provide analytical and technical services to the clients, ensuring that the working environment is safe and clean at all times.
Responsibilities are however not limited to:
- Address any issues of safety, quality or HR non compliance
- Analysis as specified in the client contract.
- Manage priorities and monitor progress to ensure timeliness and quality of results are met.
- Supervise laboratory personnel with respect to safety, quality and production.
- Adhere to site methods, procedures and protocols.
- Data review and issue completed reports.
- Train staff to maintain and improve their knowledge to be able to contribute towards progression of the laboratory.
- Schedule regular maintenance.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications
About You
- Experience in laboratory work and wet chemical knowledge.
- Experience in sample preparation.
- Experience in nitric acid digest of lithium borate fusions.
- Experience with ICP-OES and ICP-MS instruments.
- Experience with XRF and TGA’s
- Experience in supervising staff.
- Section 26 compliant.
- Experience working in a remote laboratory advantageous.
- Basic understanding of computer applications.
