Company Description
Allied Credit is a leading financier in the automotive and recreational vehicle space, partnering with iconic car and motorcycle brands to deliver tailored finance solutions. As we continue to grow, we’re expanding our Legal team and looking for a talented Legal Counsel (3–5 years PQE) to join us.
Reporting to the Head of Legal, you’ll play a key role in supporting strategic projects and business-as-usual legal matters across a dynamic, fast-paced organisation. This is a great opportunity for lawyers looking to move in-house or for in-house counsel seeking more variety and impact with a forward-thinking business.
What you’ll do:
- Advise on a variety of matters including commercial contracts, corporate governance, projects and strategic initiatives
- Support BAU legal needs across the business, and prioritising business requests from different business areas.
- Delivering timely, accurate, and commercially relevant and commercially sound legal advice while effectively engaging with internal stakeholders
- Help drive legal process improvements and risk management.
- Collaborate with Risk and Compliance to maintain strong governance frameworks.
What we’re looking for:
- 3–5 years PQE, ideally with experience in consumer or commercial finance and financial services regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to review and provide advice on commercial contracts, including strong interpretation and drafting skills.
- Knowledge of NCCP, privacy, AML, competition law a definite plus.
- Possible experience in business loan facilities, involving loan and security agreements, including PPSR knowledge.
- A collaborative, commercial mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and agile environment.
