We're looking for energetic individuals to join our Cane Supply team as Locomotive Driver Assistants. You'll be working alongside a small rail crew during the crushing season, helping deliver bins of Sugar cane and working closely with the Locomotive Driver. This role is a casual position for the rest of the season which involves shift work during the crushing season, weekend work and some overtime may be required. This opportunity can lead into other career opportunities for next season including training to become a Locomotive Driver.

Your Role in Action
- Handling Sugar Cane Bins: Assist the Loco Driver with assembling and moving empty and full sugar cane bins for delivery
- Clear Communication: Support safe train movements through clear communication with the Locomotive Driver via hand signals and radio.
- Safety Awareness: Keep a watchful eye on train movements and site activity to maintain a safe working environment.
- Attention to Detail:Monitor sugar cane bins and rail lines and report any damage
- Housekeeping: Maintain cleanliness on the Locomotive and perform routine servicing as required
Your Winning Combination
A 'C' class driver's licence is essential for these roles, which serve as a stepping stone toward becoming a Locomotive Driver. Candidates should have strong communication skills for providing consistent and accurate feedback, be collaborative team players, and bring high energy with a passion for working outdoors. Most importantly, maintaining a strong focus on safety at all times is essential.
