About the role
As a Revenue Protection Officer (similar to a Mail and Parcel Officer), you’ll work across mail and parcel processing centres to assist in the acceptance, checking, and processing of customer lodgements. Your focus will be on revenue protection, lodgement compliance, and providing frontline support to our operational teams.
This role combines operational mail handling and quality assurance work — a dynamic position for someone who likes variety and meaningful impact.
Would suit someone who's confident engaging with others, capable of spotting inconsistencies, and eager to contribute to improvements in how we operate.
This job is working across multiple parcel facilities (not customer facing) and requires someone with a driver’s licence, willing to fill in at other locations as required. This position will be based at the Redbank Parcel Centre but will also require the successful person to travel on occasion to other sites which will be Murarrie and Gold Coast.
You’ll work closely with our Processing teams to:
- Manually sort letters, large letters, small parcels, and Express Post items
- Load and unload mail from bags, trays, containers and metal cages
- Operate pallet jacks and other mail-handling equipment
- Conduct customer acceptance checks to ensure revenue and lodgement standards are met
- Accurately document and escalate non-conformance issues
- Educate customers on correct lodgement procedures and identify process improvements
- Rove between assigned sites as needed, based on risk and operational priorities
About you
- Ability to work on your feet and comfortable lifting 16kg regularly
- Good attention to detail with a strong memory and great focus
- To be open to working additional hours as well as across other facilities where required
- Comfortable operating manual pallet jacks and/or stackers (advantageous but not essential)
- An excellent communicator with a willingness to work as part of a broader team
- Safety-conscious and committed to upholding a secure and positive work environment

- Pay rate for this role is $28.60ph for the first 3 months, then $30.60ph once fully trained plus 12% superannuation and potential penalties depending on your shift time

Training and Support
At Australia Post, our training and induction programs offer support to ensure we set you up for success. You will attend an induction in your first week with our Learning and Development Team followed by a site-specific induction at your respective facility and additional online learning modules. As a new employee, you will receive one-on-one coaching, followed by regular check-ins with your Manager and Trainer to track progress, provide feedback, and discuss any support needed. We assess development at the end of each month during your probationary period, with adjustments or additional training as required. The program includes site-specific inductions and hands-on training, building employees up to full capacity within a fair time-frame.
