Maintenance Officer - Gardening
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Maintenance Officer to join our team at The Grange. This role primarily focuses on gardening and grounds maintenance, ensuring that our beautiful surroundings are well-maintained and safe for our residents. The Maintenance Officer will provide quality property support and maintenance services under limited supervision, in line with BaptistCare’s values.
This is a Full Time role , Monday to Friday from 8am to 4pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Grounds maintenance including mowing, edging spraying and maintenance of all units front yards.
- Perform general maintenance of buildings, plant, equipment, and surrounding grounds
- Deliver maintenance services in a manner consistent with BaptistCare’s values.
- Liaise with contractors, tradespersons, suppliers, and volunteers.
- Manage work orders through the computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).

About You:
- Previous property maintenance and /or grounds maintenance experience preferred.
- Flexibility (lots of variety in tasks) and willingness to learn
- High-level communication and customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of WHS principles.
- Physical fitness for heavy lifting, digging and general grounds maintenance work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Empathy and patience with seniors
- Current Driver’s License
