About the Role
Uniting is seeking an experienced Maintenance Officer to join our team and support the upkeep of our aged care and retirement living services. This full-time, Monday to Friday role (38 hours per week) offers stability, a competitive hourly rate, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our communities.
You will be responsible for the maintenance of buildings, property, plant, and equipment to ensure a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake both planned and reactive maintenance in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with WHS standards and organisational requirements.
- Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and families with empathy and respect.
- Support the delivery of safe and high-quality aged care services through proactive property and asset management.
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance or handyperson role.
- Sound knowledge of WHS and building-related legislation.
- Trade background preferred but not essential.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good computer literacy and organisational skills.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence
- Demonstrated experience in a maintenance role, preferably in an aged care /Retirement living setting
- Detailed knowledge of the application use of CMMS (Computerised maintenance management system) training can be provided.
