The opportunity
We have the opportunity for a Manager, Compliance Breaches, to join our Compliance team in QBE AUSPAC . In this role you will provide strategic compliance support to our business , influenc e the compliance culture at QBE by working directly with the first line of defense , and be an integral part of the compliance team. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to undertake assessments of breaches of law, whilst managing compliance activities.
Your new role
Key responsibilities will include:
Oversight of breaches being appropriately identified , investigated, and reported and ensure timely corrective action is taken when breaches are detected .
Identify all appropriate external regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to financial services and apply or implement as relevant to facilitate compliance of breach reporting obligations .
Take ownership and leadership to successfully implement change in compliance related matters .
Oversight of local compliance requirements, policies, and internal guidelines .
Deliver elements of the compliance strategy and plan .
S upport Senior Managers Compliance Breaches to achieve positive results for the business in line with strategy and business plans.
Proactively inputting to the strategy for the AUSPAC C ompliance Risk team, performing and completing sufficient planning of assigned objectives to ensure appropriate risk management and coordinated approach for initiatives .
Provid e compliance advice to ensure QBE meets its compliance and conduct obligations .
Proactively manag e QBE’s regulatory risk by providing advice that is consistent with regulator and ombudsman expectations .

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for building relationships with senior stakeholders .
Effective time management skills.
Strong influencing skills and passion for breach advising .
Strong regulatory understanding and ability to form insights .
Strong experience in compliance or risk management within financial services or general insurance .
Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely with cross-functional teams .
