The opportunity
We are looking for a Manager, Compliance and Conduct Risk to provide expert advice on both regulatory compliance and conduct risk management.
This role is instrumental in ensuring the business meets both internal and external compliance obligations through strong governance and technical expertise whilst maintaining best practice conduct outcomes for its customers.
As part of the Chief Compliance Officer AUSPAC team, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and embedding our compliance & conduct strategy, working closely with stakeholders to enhance risk management practices and support regulatory change initiatives.
Your new role
In this role, you will:
Provide specialist advice and oversight on compliance & conduct risk across AUSPAC.
Partner with internal stakeholders to embed an effective and robust compliance control environment, solve problems, and drive outcomes.
Develop and implement methodologies to assess, measure, and report compliance & conduct risks.
Own, develop, and monitor compliance policies and procedures, ensuring effective implementation.
Deliver data-driven insights to monitor compliance and conduct risk appetite and drive action.
Support the implementation of regulatory changes and continuous improvement in complaints management, claims handling, and product governance.
Support Risk Committees in managing compliance & conduct responsibilities.
Design and deliver training programs to enhance awareness of compliance risks.
Work with partners in Line 2 and Line 1 to ensure that regulatory requirements are understood, documented, and substantively met.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Strong compliance & conduct expertise with experience embedding robust frameworks, preferably in insurance.
A problem-solving mindset, focused on delivering practical and effective solutions.
An ability to communicate compliance concepts in a clear, jargon-free manner.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
A strategic thinker, able to see the bigger picture while managing day-to-day compliance activities.
Experience in regulatory change management and large-scale transformation programs.
