Salary range: $5214.20 to $5595.80 p.f. (AO7)
4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
Plus Salary Sacrificing options may be available

About your opportunity

The Manager, Workplace Health and Safety leads and manages the delivery of high-quality health safety and wellbeing services across the Townsville Hospital and Health Service (HHS), to facilitate effective implementation and maintenance of the Queensland Health, Health Safety and Wellbeing Management System.

Requirements:

Mandatory qualifications and proof of registration

Highly desirable: The successful candidate will be someone who has extensive skills and knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements, workplace rehabilitation and injury management programs, and significant experience in leading high performing safety and rehabilitation teams.
Highly desirable: Highly developed and demonstrated capability and experience in effectively delivering day-to-day supervision and operational management of a multi-disciplinary team and delivering high level performance and services across the HHS. Enter other requirements, e.g., Drivers Licence or desirable quals etc.
Highly desirable: Expert knowledge and understanding of workplace health and safety legislation and risk management approaches, with proven success in the development and implementation of health and safety management systems and initiatives that drive improved performance in complex and dynamic working environments.
While not mandatory, possession of tertiary qualifications in Workplace health and safety, injury management, corporate governance and/or risk management would be highly regarded.
Possession of a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment would be highly regarded.
