Permanent Full-Time | Monday to Friday | No Weekends!
Purpose-Driven Role | Make a Real Difference Every Day

Why This Role Matters
This is more than just an admin job—it’s a chance to be a trusted guide for patients navigating cancer treatment. From scheduling appointments to managing referrals and billing, you’ll be a key part of a compassionate team that ensures every patient feels supported, informed, and cared for, and the surgeon’s practice runs smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Be the welcoming face of our centre, greeting patients and families with warmth and professionalism
  • Coordinate vital treatment appointments and manage referrals across clinics and surgical services
  • Provide empathetic support to patient queries, both in person and over the phone
  • Ensure accurate billing and handle daily financial transactions
  • Maintain up-to-date patient records and track progress throughout treatment
  • Use your knowledge of medical terminology and claims processes (Medicare, Private Health Insurance, DVA) to streamline care
What We’re Looking For
You’re a detail-oriented, compassionate individual who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment. You bring strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a genuine commitment to patient care.

Your Experience Includes:
  • Previous experience in hospital, medical practice, or day procedure reception
  • Familiarity with electronic practice management systems (Gentu and/or Genie highly desirable)
  • Strong understanding of medical reception and inpatient services
  • Ability to manage time independently and work collaboratively
  • Proficiency in Windows-based programs (Email, Word)
  • Basic knowledge of medical billing and health insurance claims
Join a team that’s passionate about delivering excellence in cancer care. If you’re ready to bring your skills to a role where every detail matters and every day makes a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
