Your impact, with us
As our highly valued Medical Receptionist, you’ll use your skills and expertise to provide quality care to patients with a wide range of heart and cardiovascular conditions.
This is a full-time position based primarily in Gawler, with travel required to surrounding sites in the Barossa region and Modbury. Access to reliable transportation and a willingness to travel between sites is essential.
You are responsible and accountable for providing and achieving a high quality, accurate and efficient reception and administrative service to the practice and its patients.
You’ll make a meaningful impact by:
- Ensuring an absolute commitment to the delivery of professional, caring and friendly services to patients, referrers and customers, with consideration to achieving quality and productivity targets as set by the business.
- Managing the front desk daily – including reception and administrative services such as answering phones and managing patient appointments.
- Effective diary management incorporating consultation and testing appointments, in line with utilisation targets, key performance indicators, and administrative protocols for appointments, testing and hospital admissions.
- Taking pride in consistently delivering accurate, detailed work with aptitude and integrity.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, transactional customer service environment.
- 1+ years’ experience in a medical reception/administration role preferred, but not essential.
- Minimum 1 year ECG/Holter analysis experience preferred, but not essential.
- Experience using electronic medical records systems preferred, but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team.
- Excellent patient care skills with a friendly, sensitive and professional approach when dealing with patients of varying backgrounds and ages.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cardiology terminology and procedures (ideal but not required).
- A passion for delivering exceptional patient care and a commitment to improving Australia’s heart health.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to nurture positive connections with patients.
- A mindset of collaboration and continual learning. You’ll seize opportunities to expand your skills and expertise, and share your knowledge to help our company and people thrive.
