Job Opportunity: Full-Time Medical Receptionist at PainMed
Location: Norwest (Primary Location) – with travel to Blacktown and Westmead as required
Hours: Monday to Friday
At PainMed, we are a dedicated specialist pain management centre, committed to providing expert, compassionate care to patients living with chronic and complex pain conditions. We’re currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional Medical Receptionist to join our growing team.
This is a full-time position based primarily at our Norwest clinic, with travel required to our Blacktown and Westmead locations as needed.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment. You’ll assist in the daily administrative operations of the clinic and work closely with our specialist medical team to deliver a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a warm and professional manner
- Answer and manage incoming calls, messages, and patient enquiries
- Schedule and coordinate appointments efficiently
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Process payments, Medicare, and private health fund claims
- Liaise with external third parties (e.g. referring doctors, insurers, allied health providers)
- Provide administrative support to clinicians and practice managers
- Travel to other PainMed clinic locations (Blacktown, Westmead) as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in a medical reception or healthcare admin role (preferred)
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail with strong organisational and time management abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Professional, proactive, and patient-focused attitude
- Current driver’s licence and reliable transport (desirable )
Qualifications:
- Certificate III or IV in Medical Administration (advantageous)
- Current Working with Children Check

Expected hours: 38 per week
