About the Role
As a Permanent Part Time Medical Receptionist , you’ll be a key player in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and exceptional client experiences. Working closely with our Practice Manager, admin team, and therapists, you’ll bring energy, and organisation while delivering an exceptional patient experience through efficient appointment coordination, communication, and reception duties.
Key Task
Key to this role will be intake, it will be essential that you are able to know about allied health, and be able to help explain this to people who are interested in connecting with our service to help them connect with the right person, feel heard and when required let them know of the best option for their needs.
This role offers variety, responsibility, and the opportunity to truly make a difference in the lives of families. It's a busy role, and suited to someone with a strong ability to manage multiple tasks at once and be very organised, while being able to be warm and connect with people seeking support.
Who We’re Looking For
You're a natural organiser, a friendly face, and someone who thrives in a busy, purpose-driven environment. You’ll likely tick most (or all!) of these boxes:
Must-Haves
- Availability between 8am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Confident communicator – both written and verbal
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Proactive problem-solver who can work independently
- Prior admin experience (Allied Health or Disability Services is a bonus!)
- Competent using scheduling software (Splose or similar ideal)
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.)
- Familiar with NDIS and Medicare systems
- Comfortable processing claims via PRODA and Medicare (preferred, not essential)
- EFTPOS and cash handling experience
- High attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Team player with a warm, approachable nature
- Valid Driver’s Licence
