The Department
Alfred Infant Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (ICYAMHWS) is friendly to infants, children, young people and their families/carers.
We provide accessible mental health services inclusive of family, friends and support networks.
We are a specialist, multi-disciplinary and intensive care mental health service incorporating the lived and living experience of family peer specialists and youth peer workers.
Our service is divided into two streams 0-11 and 12-26 years, and includes specialist services in the areas of perinatal care, neurodevelopmental presentations, eating disorders and outreach support.

The Role
- Ongoing position based in the EIMOS (Early Intervention Mobile Outreach Service) team at Alfred ICYAMHWS, Moorabbin
- Role involves outreach to children, young people, their families, and stakeholders in various outreach settings
- Requires experience in:
- Assessment and intervention
- Clinical, family, and group work
- Commitment to high standards of client care and family support
- Participation in service development planning, implementation, and evaluation activities
- Collaboration with the Alfred ICYAMHWS and headspace Southern Melbourne for coordinated transitions and service integration
- Current operations are within office hours
- Future plans to expand ICYAMHWS services to after-hours and weekends
- Position will require working rostered shifts across weekdays, after-hours, and weekends when service expansion occurs
Qualifications and Experience Required
Occupational Therapist
- Current registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia via AHPRA to practice with the National Board
