Everyday Business Banking supports Australian business' Everyday Banking needs, from the smallest businesses to the largest corporates. EBB is responsible for the end-to-end management of Deposit & Transactions, Payments Acceptance, and Health products. In addition, EBB is responsible for the delivery of business customers lifecycle management, cross-cutting initiatives, and working to support Banker’s in developing Transaction Banking client solutions to customers.

Our team is the Payment Acceptance Centre of Excellence Pricing, Risk & Scheme Compliance team, and we are responsible for:
driving and executing acquiring pricing strategy
managing merchant risk and fraud
managing forward delivery risk
handling pricing issues and incidents
managing scheme and PCI compliance and
being the business owner for acquiring pricing and billing systems
regulatory reporting for acquiring
Do Work That Matters
As the Manager for Merchant Risk & Fraud, you will have responsibility for:
Overseeing the Group’s policies for merchant risk and merchant fraud
Review and assess high risk applications, escalations and fraud cases
You will be an SME for internal stakeholders for fraud management
You will be an adviser to Frontline and Support teams on client cases from onboarding to in-life management
Core requirements: Merchant acquiring Risk and Fraud skill set, strong stakeholder and client management
Scheme Compliance and PCI-DSS knowledge is highly desired but not required

The successful candidate will have:
A curious mindset who continuously grows their understanding of how end to end Acquiring works
Exceptional written and verbal communication who can interpret client situations with the appropriate risk treatment and outcomes, and advise accordingly to clients, frontline, operations and systems stakeholders
Proven discipline in prioritisation in a fast-paced environment
Risk mind-set and advanced awareness of evolving scheme compliance, regulatory standards and group risk frameworks
Candidates with relevant experience in merchant fraud and/or merchant risk. Acquiring experience in products and systems will be essential
