About the role

The National Intranet Lead will support the design and rollout of Calvary’s new intranet which will serve as the central hub for internal news and communications that align with the organisation’s Strategic Intent and Mission.

Reporting to the Head of Communications, the role will shape the intranet’s visual design, collaborate with stakeholders to understand user needs, and develop intuitive site navigation. Working across Calvary’s various service areas and corporate functions, the Lead will manage homepage content to ensure relevance, balance, and consistency across all platforms.

Post-launch, the role will oversee user-generated content, track engagement analytics, and identify opportunities to improve connectivity for Calvary’s 18,000 staff, VMOs, and volunteers.

Your main duties will include:
Develop an intranet communications plan in collaboration with the intranet project team, the broader Customer and Communication team, representatives of other national teams and Executive leaders.
Ensure proper coordination between communications, IT, HR, Risk and Legal.
Coordinate and guide content owners on how to author and maintain the intranet following launch
Develop a communications to staff organisation-wide on how to interact with the new platform.
Plan, edit and write content for the intranet home page, which will be the corporate news channel.
Ensure a consistent narrative across all content that represent Calvary’s values and purpose, demonstrates our delivery of mission, and contributes to increased employee engagement and connection.
Seek and respond to feedback from the project’s stakeholders and adjust intranet design and content accordingly.
Develop, manage and evaluate intranet activities against targets.

About you

Essential

Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience managing intranets or websites in complex organisations, preferably using SharePoint Online.
Strong skills in Microsoft 365 and a solid understanding of web technologies.
Proven project management experience in internal communications or digital platform delivery.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with high attention to detail.
Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on innovative, results-driven solutions.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a matrixed environment.
Well-developed interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and service providers, aligned with a commitment to Calvary’s mission and values.

Desirable

Experience in health care in government and / or private sectors
Videography and photography skills
Design experience using platforms such as Canva, Adobe Express, VistaCreate.
