Job Description
We are expanding our team in Katoomba and the Lower Blue Mountains region and would love to welcome a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join us in making a positive impact in our community.
We are open to applications from Occupational Therapists of all levels of experience that are looking for full time or part time roles. #AAA
In this role you will:
- Assessing participants emotional, psychological, cognitive, developmental and physical level of function and capacity through clinical observations and standardised assessments.
- Interpreting findings to formulate treatment goals unique to each participant.
- Provide therapeutic interventions that are evidence-based.
- Provide support and advice on adaptations to the environment including home, school, work and residential facilities.
- Recommend provision of Assistive Technology to assist participants with their functional limitations and promote independence.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proactive attitude, motivated by improvement and the opportunity to test and learn from new ideas.
- Looking for a fun, collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- A genuine passion for working in the disability sector.
