As a Seasonal or Casual Ocean Lifeguard, you’ll play a critical role in promoting water safety, preventing incidents, and responding to emergencies with professionalism and care. We're looking for committed individuals who are proactive, community-focused, and ready to be part of a highly respected lifeguarding team.

Promoting ocean safety and educating the public
Responding to emergency situations swiftly and effectively
Minimising risks through active surveillance and proactive actions
Maintaining, repairing and securing lifesaving equipment and facilities
Enforcing relevant state and local beach safety regulations
What You’ll Need to Succeed
For Seasonal Positions:
Certificate III in Public Safety – Aquatic Search & Rescue (or willingness to obtain within the first 3 months)
Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
Current Advanced Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID015)
NSW Class C Driver's Licence
Current RMS Boating & PWC Licence
NSW Working with Children Check
For Casual Positions:
Certificate II in Public Safety – Aquatic Search & Rescue or Bronze Medallion
Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011)
Current Advanced Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID015)
NSW Class C Driver's Licence
NSW Working with Children Check

- Package and Hours of work:
Seasonal - $78,717 gross p.a. plus 12% superannuation. Temporary Full Time (September 2025 - April 2026), 38 hours per week, 9 day fortnight. Available to work over 7 day spread. Weekend penalty rates paid for weekends and public holidays worked.
Casual - $49.79 gross per hour plus 12% superannuation. Casual shifts available over 7 day spread to support the operational needs of the Ocean Lifeguard Team.
Please note: As selected applicants progress through the recruitment process, a requirement to participate in fitness testing (800m pool swim & ocean lifeguard mission) will take place Sunday 31st August from 8:00 am
Suitable candidates are subject to pre-employment screening which includes Reference Checks, Work Rights Verification, Identity and Functional/Medical History Checks (including Covid-19 Vaccination), and may also include a Criminal History, Qualification and Working with Children Check.
