What We're Looking For:
- Full-time commitment - Monday to Friday
- Optical experience preferred but not essential, Health related background welcomed - we value transferable skills
- Someone who takes pride in helping patients find eyewear they'll "fall in love with"
- Detail oriented individual with excellent customer service skills
- Passion for using the latest technology to enhance patient care
The Role:
As our Optical Assistant/Dispenser, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Patient Care: Helping patients select from our range of designer frames and explaining how different lenses will impact their vision
- Dispensing Services: Frame fitting, adjustments, and ensuring optimal comfort and vision
- Administrative Tasks: Managing appointment bookings, patient records, and follow-up communications
- Computer Systems: Using practice management software for scheduling, billing, and maintaining accurate patient databases
- Reception Duties: Greeting patients, handling phone inquiries, and managing day-to-day front desk operations
- Insurance Processing: Handling Medicare claims and health fund rebates
- Inventory Management: Assisting with frame displays, stock monitoring, and ordering
- Supporting our Optometrist: Preparing patients for consultations and assisting with clinical administration
