The Role
We’re looking for a part-time Product Manager/Owner who can help shape and guide our product roadmap, break down improvements into manageable pieces of work, keep development projects moving, and ensure our customers get a product that’s not only functional, but a pleasure to use. You’ll work closely with our small development team - including our founder - to prioritise features, design functionality, coordinate releases, and improve our user interface.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across strategy and execution, with a mix of product management, project coordination, and a good eye for UI/UX design.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with the founders and developers to define and maintain the product roadmap
- Translate customer needs and feedback into actionable product and technical requirements
- Plan and manage development work, ensuring continuous improvement of our product, as well as addressing bugs promptly
- Conduct light user testing and usability reviews
- Coordinate release notes and ensure smooth feature rollouts
- Ideally you will also help to create designs and prototypes to help improve the UI/UX as features are improved
- Maintain clear communication between the development team and other stakeholders
About You
- 4+ years of product management, or similar experience
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with or alongside technical teams
- Some hands-on UI/UX design or wire-framing skills (Figma or similar)
- Excellent communicator - you can translate technical ideas for non-technical audiences and vice versa
- Comfortable working independently in a remote team environment
- Self-motivated and proactive - you can spot issues before they become problems
- Located in a time zone that allows at least 4 hours of overlap with both Australia (AEST) and Pakistan (PKT)
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience in SaaS, especially HR or business software
- Understanding of web application development fundamentals
- Some UI/UX experience and skills
What We Offer
- Flexible hours - although you’ll need to work with our developers and other stakeholders, much of your time will be flexible
- Opportunity to shape a growing product used by businesses worldwide
- Collaborative, friendly, and low-bureaucracy team culture
- Fully remote work with competitive pay
- Part-time work of approx. 20 hours per week
If you’re excited about building great products and making a visible impact in a small, close-knit team, we’d love to hear from you!
