- This role is Permanent Part-time, 50hrs/fortnight.

- For this role you will need the availability to work regular closing shifts (9pm finish) as part of your schedule. You must also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).
- Understanding customer needs and providing your expert range knowledge to support customer buying decisions.
- Actively selling IKEA products, always in a curious, friendly, and helpful way.
- Understanding the department goals and proactively contributing to business growth.
- Building strong relationships with your team and other departments to promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Assembling displays, implementing pricing communication, filling and condensing stock and maintaining your department so it’s always clean, tidy, and ready to shop.
- This work area includes frequent on-the-job physical activity such as lifting, pushing/pulling, sliding/transferring of stock which varies in size and weight, and regular use of manual handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Able to prioritise multiple tasks and thrive in a high-volume customer facing environment where you will answer frequent customer enquiries while balancing the daily task needs.
- A customer service mindset, always striving to deliver a memorable shopping experience. Experience in a retail or similar customer service environment will be highly regarded.
- Passionate about learning and sharing the IKEA product range and services with customers.
- Proficient system/technical skills and an ability to learn the IKEA IT tools needed to do the job.
- You’ll need to be comfortable with frequent on-the-job physical activity and dynamic movements, with tasks such as lifting, pushing/pulling pallets with the use of mechanical aids like pallet jacks, sliding/transferring of stock which vary in size and weight, and cardboard condensing a regular part of your work day in this role.
- A ‘Togetherness’ mindset where you’ll work closely with your team and other departments yet also be able to work independently.
