About the role
SummitCare is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and self-motivated physio aid to work. This position will be located at our residential aged care centre in Wallsend. The role is required to work between Monday to Friday.
As the physiotherapy aid at SummitCare, you will be responsible for assisting the physiotherapist deliver care to our residents, managing and ordering of physiotherapy equipment and ensuring all equipment is used appropriately and in good working order. You will have a strong customer service focus and tailor services to meet individual resident needs.
Selection criteria to be addressed:
Demonstrated administrative knowledge and experience, computer literacy and effective customer service skills
Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance
Demonstrated patient manual handling skills, knowledge, and experience
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to operate professionally and with minimal supervision but also function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities, as delegated
Demonstrated ability to contribute to a clinical service via review of service provision, practice development and/or redesign to improve services, operations, and outcomes
