The Opportunity

We’re seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Policy and Planning Specialist to join our Group People Function. This role is central to shaping global people policies, supporting governance activities, and managing financial planning across the function. You’ll work closely with People (HR) leaders, finance business partners, and governance committees to ensure our policies are robust, our reporting is accurate, and our planning is strategically aligned.

Your new role

As Policy and Planning Specialist, you will lead policy reviews, support governance reporting, and manage financial planning across the global People function. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our frameworks are fit-for-purpose and aligned with organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the review and refresh of global people policies and lead updates to some key frameworks.

  • Drive end-to-end policy reviews across the People function, including high-impact documents such as the Code of Conduct and Human Rights Policy.

  • Own the Global Consequence Management Policy lifecycle, from data-driven reporting to committee engagement and external transparency.

  • Oversee financial planning and reforecasting for Group Head Office (GHO) and global Transformation budgets—managing vendor spend and headcount with precision.

  • Collaborate closely with Finance Business Partners to track and deliver insightful reporting on Group People budgets and benefits across the global function.

  • Play a key role in governance by preparing executive and Board papers and supporting across key governance frameworks.

About You

You are a proactive and analytical thinker with a strong foundation in finance, policy, governance, or people advisory. You thrive in detail-heavy environments and are confident working with data and financial information to support strategic decision-making.

Key Requirements

  • Advanced Excel skills and a strong ability to interpret and manage data-heavy reports.

  • Proven capability in policy development and review, particularly within people advisory or governance contexts.

  • Comfortable working with financial systems and processes, including budgeting and forecasting.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities across governance and planning.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across HR, finance, and governance teams.
