The Opportunity:

  • Full-Time 1.0 EFT | Ongoing contract of employment
  • PW5 $74,742 - $80,407 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience)
  • Moorabbin Campus – onsite parking with close proximity to public transport


Holmesglen’s Diploma of Nursing is an ANMAC-accredited course, approved by the NMBA and listed on their approved programs of study. Designed to build nursing knowledge in a practical learning environment, the program leads to national registration with AHPRA as an Enrolled Nurse and offers a pathway into the second year of a Bachelor of Nursing. Strong industry partnerships support the course, with many offering fellowships and cadetships that enable students to complete all 400 hours of Professional Experience Placement (PEP) within a single health organisation - providing continuity, professional growth, and strong employment outcomes.

The Practical Placement and Partnership Coordinator plays a critical role in the strategic and operational coordination of clinical placements within the department. This position contributes to long-term planning, innovation, and continuous quality improvement across the Professional Experience Placement portfolio.


As a Practical Placement and Partnerships Coordinator, you will:

  • Coordinate and manage clinical placements to ensure alignment with academic requirements, industry standards, and student learning outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with healthcare providers to support high-quality placement experiences and employment pathways.
  • Oversee all placement logistics, including agreements, compliance, and student documentation.
  • Conduct placement site risk assessments and provide ongoing support to students and clinical facilitators.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the placement portfolio, including evaluation and digital process enhancements.

To be successful, you’ll have:

  • A strong understanding of the nursing sector, particularly in relation to clinical placement structure, compliance, and student learning outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining effective partnerships with healthcare providers and industry stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Well-developed communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage and support students, facilitators, and placement partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital systems, with strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in nursing; AHPRA registration and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) are highly desirable.
  • WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
