About the Role
Support the delivery of injury prevention and workers compensation initiatives across multiple NSW businesses. Drive employer engagement activities, facilitate the use of prevention tools and resources, and assist in identifying practical improvement opportunities to make the complex simple for NSW workplaces. Engage in education with employers to build their capability in risk mitigation while maintaining technical expertise and a strong understanding of contemporary WHS practices.

Duties
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same: as an Prevention Advisor you will:
- Support delivery of the prevention strategy to establish injury prevention initiatives for employers including educating employers on their key issues and advising strategies or programs to address and improve performance.
- Identify and recommend evidence-based injury prevention and intervention strategies which have proved successful for employers in similar circumstances.
- Contribute to the implementation of existing injury prevention strategies, tools, and programs.
- Conduct analysis of injury performance and organizational data to inform and shape tailored prevention recommendations.
- Support engagement activities with employers, including preparing materials, participating in meetings, and coordinating follow-ups.
- Provide input to reports, case studies, and feedback loops, escalating complex issues to senior staff.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of WHS principles and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to support consistent delivery of services across the portfolio.
Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in a WHS or injury prevention-related role.
- Demonstrated ability to support employer-focused initiatives and contribute to WHS improvement.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work within structured frameworks and escalate complex matters appropriately
- Familiarity with WHS data analysis tools or processes.
