The Opportunity


The Pricing & Customer Value team business partners within the Buying division of Supermarkets, Woolworths Food Company, Finance, IT & Strategy teams. As a team, we support the optimisation of pricing opportunities for the Woolworths Supermarkets division with a strong focus on building continued price trust with our customers and maintaining Woolworths’ competitiveness in the market.

What you’ll do


We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially minded Pricing Strategy Analyst to support the development and execution of pricing strategies that drive growth, enhance customer value and price perception, and strengthen our market position. In this role, you will use analytics to provide insights, support decision-making, and help deliver measurable outcomes across the business.

You’ll work closely with a collaborative team and partner with stakeholders to share insights, contribute to solutions, and help uncover opportunities for growth. This is a great opportunity to build your strategic and analytical skills while making a meaningful impact.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Pricing Strategy & Optimisation: Assist in the design, monitoring, and refinement of pricing frameworks to balance competitiveness, profitability, and customer perception

  • Market & Competitor Analysis: Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and price movements to identify opportunities and risks
  • Performance Measurement: Evaluate the impact of pricing initiatives, providing actionable recommendations to enhance outcomes
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with teams across Woolworths Group, including Commercial, Marketing, and CustomerX, to support the alignment of pricing strategies with business goals
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to improvements in pricing processes, data quality, and analytical approaches

What you’ll Bring

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, is eager to expand their strategic toolkit, and enjoys turning data into meaningful commercial outcomes.

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Pricing, Commercial or Strategy roles (retail or FMCG experience preferred)

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to turn data into meaningful insights
  • Solid presentation and storytelling skills, capable of clearly conveying insights both verbally and through compelling visual slides
  • Proficiency with Excel/Google Sheets; SQL or other analytical tools an advantage
  • Commercial understanding of the relationship between pricing, sales, and profitability
  • Strong communication skills, able to present insights clearly and effectively
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset and eagerness to grow in a fast-paced environment
