About the roles
In this role, you'll be part of a team of operators that are responsible for operating machinery to ensure material is produced to the commercial standard, identifying, and reporting faults and working in a safe manner.
24/5 - 8-hour weekday shifts, no weekends/public holidays OR 24/7 - 12-hour rotating shifts, includes weekends/public holidays
Responsibilities include:
- Engage the team to ensure the delivery of safe, low cost, efficient and high-quality production
- Deliver on production KPIs
- Ensure appropriate communication and feedback is in place, including technical review and recommendation of machine / site running conditions
- Complete routine maintenance tasks, such as high-pressure cleaning, removal of waste material from pits, channels, and vessels
- Maintain a high standard of housekeeping, including shovelling, sweeping, painting and vacuuming,
- Test operation of machines periodically & fix issues that might occur during the shift
- Maintain activity logs & carry out quality inspections
About you:
- Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments
- Proven capacity to collaborate effectively within a team setting
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal
- Strong computer skills
- Commitment to adhering to health and safety regulations, including consistent utilization of protective equipment
- Excellent physical endurance and strength
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical education background preferred
- Capability to operate a forklift - not essential
