We are seeking a Production planner to join our team in Brisbane. In this role you will manage the Purchasing of parts (including Manufactured parts) for our smelting, refining and mineral processing technologies supported globally, for our Capital Projects business and aftermarket business. This role reports directly to the Superintendent of Spares & Logistics.
You will be responsible for:
Oversee planning of parts manufacturing
Parts interpretation and identification (manufactured / purchased).
Manage the Procurement process for manufactured items.
Manage parts and sub-contract pricing from suppliers as required in SAP.
Managing BOM’s for sub-contract parts to enable system creation of parent and component requirements.
Budget and Cost:
Negotiate pricing, terms, and service level agreements (SLAs)
Governance & Assurance:
Draft, review, and manage vendor contracts
Ensure contract terms are being met
Monitor expiration and renewal timelines
Manage service level agreements
Risk & Issues or in Stakeholders Management:
Track vendor KPIs and SLAs
Conduct regular performance reviews
Address performance issues, delays or breaches
Streamline procurement and vendor-related processes
Liaise with customers (internal) and suppliers to communicate date / priority changes.
Build systems to organise and share information with the team.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Experience in purchasing, international freight and logistics
Experience with controlling multiple inputs, in terms of customer and supplier requirements to achieve success against the schedule
Intermediate knowledge of excel (vlookups / Index, Match are widely used in this role).
Experience in negotiating and managing contracts
Previous exposure to cost analysis and budgeting
