We are seeking an experienced Project Geologist - Growth to join our KCGM Operations. This residential role is on an 8/6 roster working 11-hour days.
Here’s what awaits you:
- Select targets and plan drill holes to uncover the geological secrets of the Kalgoorlie Gold Field — both surface and underground.
- Create detailed wireframes of geology and mineralisation to guide exploration and resource development.
- Coordinate the design, scheduling, and execution of drilling programs, ensuring timely and accurate data delivery.
- Liaise with stakeholders and clearly communicate plans and progress.
- Supervise drill contractors, ensuring compliance with all environmental, safety, and security standards.
- Analyse, interpret, and model geological data to support strategic decision-making.
- Mentor and train junior geologists, sharing your expertise and passion for discovery.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
Experience:
- Solid understanding of geological processes, rock types, and mineralogy.
- Strong data interpretation skills using advanced geological software.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse teams.
- A proactive, growth-focused mindset with a passion for exploration.
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Geology (minimum bachelor’s degree).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a mining environment, ideally gold-focused.
- Experience managing drill rigs and contractors.
- Proficiency in Datamine, Leapfrog, and Acquire.
- Exposure to geological modelling and wireframing.
- Current, unencumbered WA “C” Class Driver’s Licence.
