Project Officer – Support Victoria's Renewable Energy Future
The Commercial Transitions Team in the Major Energy Projects Branch at DEECA is looking for a motivated and capable Project Officer to help deliver some of Victoria's most important and innovative renewable energy projects. These are complex, high-profile initiatives that are critical to the state's clean energy transition.
In this position, you'll:
- Support the delivery of major renewable energy and infrastructure projects,
- Manage high-value contracts and ensure compliance with probity and reporting requirements,
- Provide high-quality analysis, documentation, and issue resolution, and
- Engage with a wide range of stakeholders across government and industry.
You'll bring strong project management skills, a talent for problem solving, and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with diverse audiences.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- A tertiary qualification in energy, finance, public policy, engineering, technology development, business, contract management or project management with a commercial focus would be well regarded.
- Past experience working on highly sensitive and complex projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment would be well regarded.
- Past experience working autonomously to tight timeframes, whilst being able to work in a team environment, would be well regarded.
This is a fixed term position available for a period of 24 months. The work location for this position is 8 Nicholson Street, East Melbourne, with hybrid work arrangements available.
