Job Description
What you bring to the table
We are seeking an experienced Surveyor to support our team in delivering significant projects across Victoria. You are a highly motivated individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills and an absolute focus on exceptional client and customer service. You will be responsible for undertaking a variety of surveys for our valued clients, including but not limited to:
- Cadastral re-establishment, feature and level surveys, monitoring, estate surveying, set out, civil survey works, control surveys, traversing, leveling, and general field duties.
- Prepare client reports, field cards, work documentation, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage survey projects to conclusion, ensuring MNG and client services are met. Including but not limited to cadastral and land development projects, and all works required to completion.
- Assist with managing project budgets and monitoring of financial performance of projects, actual costs vs. quote/budgeted costs and report to the manager on any overruns.
- Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meeting changing needs and requirements of the client, ensuring client satisfaction and MNG goals are met.
- Build and maintain MNG’s profile by attending industry and other functions for networking opportunities.
- Liaise with clients, Project Managers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate project updates and attend project start-ups, meetings and debriefs.
Who we are looking for
An experienced surveyor with 5+ years’ experience in a field role including
- Land Development / Large Lot subdivision experience
- Experience processing survey data and rectifying complex issues
- Progress towards Surveyors License will be highly desirable
What we also need
- Strong decision making, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to deliver time critical projects.
- Experience with survey data to reduce and check data and plans and identify issues
- Intermediate MS Office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
