About Us

At the City of Stirling, we’re proud to be WA’s largest local government, serving over 243,000 residents with more than 200 community-focused services. With a workforce of 1,500, we’re committed to building an inclusive, capable and future-ready organisation. We invest in our people, embrace innovation, and offer a workplace where flexibility, wellbeing and growth are more than just words - they’re how we work.

Property plays a pivotal role in enabling the City to deliver vibrant, sustainable spaces that support community growth, economic development, and long-term strategic outcomes.

Why You’ll Love This Role

You’ll be a strategic property leader at WA’s largest local government, driving high-impact development projects that shape the future of the City.

This is your opportunity to lead transformative initiatives—delivering the City’s Land Asset Action Plan and unlocking the potential of its property portfolio. You’ll manage acquisitions, disposals, and development projects from feasibility to execution, ensuring alignment with community needs and Council objectives.

You’ll work closely with internal teams and external consultants to deliver commercially sound, sustainable outcomes. Your expertise will help maximise land value, guide strategic planning, and bring visionary projects to life.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Manage strategic property development projects across the City
  • Deliver financial feasibility studies and business cases
  • Manage acquisitions, disposals, and land asset initiatives
  • Coordinate consultants and contractors through all project phases
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and financial models
  • Contribute to the City’s Land Asset Action Plan and property strategies
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Council policies
  • Provide high-level reporting and insights to stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for a commercially minded property professional with a passion for strategic development and community impact. You’ll ideally bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in Property or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in development/project management roles
  • Strong financial acumen and feasibility modelling skills
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage consultants
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation (e.g. Local Government Act, Planning & Development Act)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Why You’ll Love Working Here

Work Your Way - Enjoy flexible work options, free parking, end-of-journey facilities, and a location close to shops, cafés, and public transport.

Rewarding You - Boost your super to 24% with our generous matching scheme, plus: purchased leave, novated leasing, and extra personal leave on your 3-year anniversary.

Grow With Us - Access LinkedIn Learning, leadership programs, and study support.

Belong Here - Be recognised through Stirling Stars, DEI events, and team celebrations.

Feel Your Best - Wellness perks include gym discounts, therapy dogs, skin checks, and more.
