We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor who will be responsible for overseeing the administration of all contractual requirements to support the successful delivery of Projects across Western Australia. This will include project procurement from tendering to award, processing claims and invoices, managing subcontracts as well as assisting with cost and change management.

About the Role
- Apply your knowledge to the management of project costs. This should include the preparation and presentation of financial reports on the performance of a project at appropriate intervals, to provide effective forecasting of costs, risks, and their financial implications.
- Monitor, report and advise on project cashflows and profitability. Evaluate and advise on the financial implications and appropriate management actions.
- Give reasoned advice on the appropriateness of various procurement routes. Manage the tendering and negotiation process and present reports on the outcome.
- Apply your knowledge to the quantification and costing of construction works, including the use of appropriate standard methods of measurement and forms of cost analysis. Carrying out measurement and costing of works at all stages of the construction process.
- Advise and implement the administrative procedures necessary for the smooth running of a construction contract including document control techniques and systems, meetings, and reporting procedures
- Provide evidence of reasoned advice and report to clients on cost, quality, and time related forensic examination.
- Assess, interpret, and report on the programme control of projects. Apply your knowledge to carry out risk assessments taking into account all relevant factors. Understand the application of the various methods and techniques used to measure risk.
What we are looking for
- Tertiary Qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Law or similar is preferable.
- 5 years’ experience in the Construction or Resource industry with at least 3 working for a Contractor.
- Claim preparation and negotiation experience essential
- Be a strong negotiator with proven track record of negotiating and implementing best for project practices.
- Demonstrate prior project site experience required with technical knowledge of the industry.
- Demonstrate experience in effective and profitable management of Contracts (upstream and downstream). Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing project conditions.
