The Role in a Nutshell
You’ll be the friendly voice and first point of contact for our customers. You’ll manage inbound calls, email enquiries and returns, learning our systems and processes before stepping up to more complex tasks over time. We’re looking to hire someone immediately.
Profile & Fit
- Ideal for: Someone early in their career (or returning to work) who’s enthusiastic on the phone, a quick learner, and enjoys following tasks through to completion.
- Key strengths: Warm, confident telephone manner; positive “can-do” attitude; solid typing speed; happy to work under supervision and grow with the team.
Core Responsibilities
Reception & Phone
- First point of contact: taking orders, “Where’s my order?” enquiries, phone payment calls
- Taking clear messages and redirecting requests to the right team member
Email Enquiries
- Responding to order-status questions and product FAQs
Order Follow-Up
- Calling customers about simple order queries (e.g. out-of-stock items, backorder requests)
Quote Follow-Up
- Calling to confirm received quotes and sending follow-up emails
Product Returns
- Creating Return Authorisations (RAs) from email and phone requests
- Processing returns into our Hartley Office
- Processing returns back to suppliers
Dispatch Support
- Assisting the dispatch team with pick & pack during busy periods and peak days
