YHA Sydney Central is situated in the vibrant city centre with 180 rooms, 563 beds offering easy access to all the excitement. Located directly across from Sydney's Central Station, within the bustling traveller's precinct, this establishment provides top-notch accommodation for travellers.

About the role:

We are seeking a part-time (minimum 15 hours per week) Front Desk Extraordinaire—a dynamic and motivated person committed to providing exceptional customer service to our guests. This role involves fostering a friendly and cheerful atmosphere, responding to guest inquiries with knowledgeable local advice and recommendations, managing efficient check-ins and check-outs, and offering vital information to ensure a pleasant stay. Additionally, the candidate will resolve any guest concerns or disputes, escalating them to the appropriate management when necessary.

What are we looking for:
  • A genuine interest in creating a fun, professional and safe environment for our guests and other team members.
  • Previous experience in front desk reception or customer service in an accommodation setting
  • Good time management skills and commitment to adhere to policies and procedures to ensure the safety of our guests and team
  • Flexible availability for shifts in evening, weekends and public holidays
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written
  • Full Australian working rights with no restrictions
