  • This is a predominantly field based role with majority of Recycled Water inspections taking place in the northern growth corridor.

The role
Reporting into the Manager, Customer Compliance within the Service Response Division, we are on the lookout for a talented Recycled Water Inspector. You will play a key role in the identification and rectification of cross connections and plumbing compliance to protect drinking water supplies.

You’ll be working in our Asset Services Group, a fast paced, dynamic and rewarding operational environment, where we work together to ensure essential water and sanitation services are delivered to our customers and community day in day out. Your key responsibilities

  • Implement and complete recycled water compliance auditing on site and virtually to proactively identify, report, and rectify cross connections between recycled and drinking water
  • Deliver a mandatory sewer inspection program
  • Act as a customer liaison in the field
  • Assist with Administration activities - scheduling, backlog management and customer interactions related to Recycled Water inspections.

What we’re looking for

  • CCF White card mandatory
  • Licensed or registered plumber for water supply and/or sanitary plumbing or have significant experience in the plumbing or construction industry
  • Demonstrated experience in recycled water plumbing works – dual pipe plumbing systems would be advantageous
  • Demonstrated knowledge, experience and proven ability to provide auditing of water and sewerage reticulation and internal plumbing works
  • Knowledge, experience and demonstrated competency in Victorian OHS and Environmental Acts, Legislation, Regulations and Code of Compliance associated with maintenance and construction
  • Knowledge, experience and demonstrated competency in analysis, identification, recommendation and implementation of safety, quality, HACCP and environmental management
  • Demonstrated competency as a Lead Auditor in compliance auditing and/or ISO19011:2011 framework or other auditing frameworks
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and negotiation skills in dealing with key stakeholders including senior management, customers, consultants, contractors, regulators and committees
  • Demonstrated experience in managing all documents, policies and procedures, standards and specifications
  • Experience in developing strategies, analysis, and efficiency improvements
