About the Role:

Melbourne Water is seeking a self-driven and innovative Reliability Specialist to make a positive contribution to the lives of Melburnians by identifying and implementing reliability initiatives across Melbourne’s water network. The role will work closely with experts from across the business including Operations, Maintenance and Asset Management teams. You will also have the opportunity to work on world-class Water Treatment Plants as well as pristine Catchments and Reservoirs in some of Melbourne’s most beautiful locations.
Reporting to the Manager Maintenance you will you will develop and implement innovative solutions to optimize asset performance, minimize downtime, and reduce maintenance costs while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and environmental standards. This full time role is based from our Preston or Winneke sites.

About you:
- You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to critically explore and analyse solution options and evaluate consequences of different risk scenarios and implement appropriate cost-effective risk management techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of reliability techniques, processes, tools and systems with the capability to utilise reliability best practice; (RCA, RCM etc)
- You have the ability to provide a high level of customer service, and contribute to a constructive, positive and supportive team environment.
- Excellent organisational skills including negotiation, written and communication skills, and an ability to balance priorities
- Experience with Maximo, SCADA, MS Office and other IT asset based systems.
- A relevant tertiary degree (Engineering, asset or maintenance management, or similar) OR Trade Certificate, and industry experience.
