About the role:

The House Supervisor position is a great next step for someone looking to progress their career in residential care. The House Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily care of young people provided by residential care workers within their allocated residential care home. The House Supervisor is a part of the Out of Home Care Program and reports to the Residential Care Coordinator.

The House Supervisor must have demonstrated experience within the residential care field, particularly in a therapeutic environment. With Leadership Experience preferred but not required


This is a Full-Time opportunity based in Warrnambool, VIC within our Out of Home Care Program. The position reports to the Residential Care Coordinator.


Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant Diploma with substantial experience including four (4) additional mandatory competencies (Residential Care Skillset/Top Up Units).
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field, particularly within a therapeutic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead and support a team of residential care workers.
  • Proven ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.
  • Proven skills and experience in development of behavioural management programs for children and adolescents with challenging behaviours.

  • Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
