About the opportunity
Reporting into the ‘Head of Risk & Compliance, Frameworks & Reporting’, this role is responsible for supporting the risk teams in understanding and following the Risk Management Framework, plus the relevant supporting standards, systems and procedures.
You will also assist in ensuring continuous improvement of the Risk Framework and all supporting guidance, systems and procedures required for Group wide implementation of the framework through the second line teams. Supporting policy owners and contacts in understanding and following the Policy Governance Framework and relevant supporting systems and procedures.
You’ll also
- Responsible for co-ordinating and collating relevant risk information required for reporting to management, the Board and Board Committees.
- Review and draft multiple regular risk reports including vital Board reporting for the Chief Risk Officer (CRO).
- Assist with the uplift and continuous improvement of risk reporting.
- Support Group Risk Partners with understanding the Risk Framework and requirements so that they can be implemented and followed in a consistent manner.
- Assist with the uplift and continuous improvement of the Group Risk Management Framework.
- Co-ordinate and manage the review and update of all Group Policies, supporting Policy Owners in following and implementing the Policy Governance Framework.
- Collate, and review policy governance information required reporting for management and the Board.
- Drive continuous improvement, adoption and awareness of the Policy Governance Framework.
- Create and uplift all supporting documents, guidelines, templates, procedures and systems required to implement the Risk and Policy Frameworks to make sure they are fit for purpose and easy to use.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders including Line two risk partners, line one risk and compliance contacts, and policy owners and contacts across the Group.
- Priorities limited resources to relevant actions and activities required to meet the CRO’s strategic objectives.
About you
- Graduate of Accounting, Finance, Law or commensurate qualifications/ experience
- Great understanding of risk and controls methodology and approaches
- Previous experience working within a complex environments with multiple stakeholders
