About the role
The Room Leader provides a high standard of Education and Care through the development and implementation of contemporary Early Childhood Education or Middle Childhood Education Programs that reflects the Principles and Practices of the Early Years Learning Framework or My Time Our Place Framework.
The Room Leader is required to oversee health and safety, quality programming and documentation in line with QA1 and oversight of day to day operations such as (but not limited) medical management, provision of food and water requirements, supervision of children etc.
The incumbent in this role is required to manage performance of Educators and ensure that Educators are provided with professional guidance, supervision and performance development planning to ensure they are aware of and working in accordance with their Position Description.
The position will be located in the Ginninderra Early Learning Centre and will be working upto 75 hours per fortnight (Monday - Friday).
Ideal candidates:
- ACECQA approved qualification (Diploma or Bachelor degree), First Aid training in Education and care Services, Anaphylaxis management training, emergency asthma management training and food safety supervisor certificate.
- Prior experience in a similar role would advantageous.
- Possess the personal attributes of optimism, resilience and flexibility.
- Demonstrated understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law, Regulations, Framework and Standards.
