About the role;
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Room Leader to join our dynamic team in Balmain, NSW. As a Room Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of educators and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and educational programs for children. This is a full-time position based in our Balmain location.
What you'll be doing;
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of your designated room, ensuring a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for the children
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate educational activities and curriculum to support the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth of the children
- Mentor and support a team of educators, providing guidance, coaching, and feedback to help them develop their skills and achieve their professional goals
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with all relevant childcare regulations and policies
- Foster positive relationships with parents and families, communicating effectively about the children's progress and addressing any concerns
- Actively participate in team meetings, professional development opportunities, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the service
What we're looking for;
A Certificate 3, Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education - Qualification not as important to us as experience and passion is
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Room Leader or Senior Educator in a childcare setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team of educators
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standard
- Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences for children
- Current Working with Children Check and First Aid certification
