The Role
As the Safety, Training & Systems Manager you will be supporting our Service business with all elements of Safety, Training and Systems. The role can be based out of our Moorabbin office or Rydalmere office and reports to our National Commercial and Service Manager with no direct reports.
Position duties include:
- Coordinate national systems for Workplace Health & Safety (WH&S) for the Field Service Group, including WH&S Procedures and Policies, Monthly Safety Reporting, and ensuring safety commitments are maintained.
- Identify technical training requirements by collaborating with Service and Sales Managers, and develop, organize, and deliver training courses for Field Service staff and external plumbers.
- Maintain Quality and Operating Procedures for the Field Service Group.
- Embedded in the Victorian Service team you will be managing state safety, reporting, and working collaboratively with the State Supervisor to develop safety systems and culture. (If based in VIC)
- Ensure the technical competency of all Field Service staff through training and supplement the development and delivery of training courses for external plumbers and training organizations such as TAFE.
- Maintain, review, and distribute all Field Service Quality, Operating, and Safety Procedures and other documents.
About you
To be successful in this position you will have:
- Demonstrated experience as a manager of a business’s safety processes and culture
- Technical competence as a tradesperson or engineer with prior hands on experience in plumbing
- Trade Qualification in Plumbing or Electrical or Mechanical Services
- Excellent communication at all levels including training tradespeople and educators e.g. TAFE teachers and, in all forms, i.e. written, verbal, presentational etc.
- A logical and analytical mindset
- An ability to influence
- Experience with Microsoft Office, in particular PowerPoint
- Experience as a Manager of people in a technical environment
- Experience in a customer facing environment
Ideal but not essential:
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Formal qualifications in WHS
