The Opportunity:
The Sales Area Manager role is a full-time position, based in Hobart, Tasmania. As an effective and visible leader, you will be responsible for managing the region's sales strategy and delivery of network objectives via the state store locations, developing and growing customer relationships to increase sales to drive commercial value and revenue growth. This role reports to the General Manager VIC/TAS and has significant breadth in responsibility across delivery of the network objectives in trade retail standards, inventory, safety, revenue, cost management through to people management and succession planning.
About the role:
- Champion a safety-first culture within our Tasmanian sites in pursuit of a zero-harm environment ensuring to Never Walk Past.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplinary team across locations, ensuring strong collaboration and high performance.
- Oversee and manage the store network strategy for Tasmania, ensuring each store delivers on its financial and operational goals.
- Lead the development and execution of a strategic plan to drive sales/margin growth through retention and prospecting activities that drive commercial value and revenue growth
- Partner with the sales, logistics and customer service teams to ensure that our customers receive a service that is consistent and efficient.
- Develop and manage critical business growth opportunities and customer relationships of strategic importance for each area.
- Lead the team, by applying effective leadership practices to build high performance.
- Understand and communicate CSR's strategic direction, vision and purpose.
- Effectively manage human resource elements including recruitment, mentoring, retention, reward/recognition, training, employee development and performance management.
