The role:
You will oversee the management, preparation, and reporting of accounting and financial data ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial statements in compliance with global and local accounting policies and external regulatory compliance. Reporting to our Senior Director of Finance and Accounting, you will also be responsible for all management aspects of cash management, travel and expense management, banking relationships, payroll finance support, accounts payable and receivable and all other financial accounting management aspects.
You will contribute to the achievement of Australian & Global Accounting and Finance strategies and OKRs by leading the Australian & New Zealand, and Bondi Sands Global Financial Accounting finance support function through accurate financial reporting, SAP systems management, internal audit controls, external audit management, tax and regulatory compliance and supports the budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning process.

What you will do:
- Generate monthly, quarterly & yearly financial results.
- Provide comprehensive financial analysis and understanding of variances between actual, budget & forecast.
- Ensure all submissions are completed in a timely manner and accurately.
- Work with various departments to investigate monthly variances to the corporate Budget and Latest Estimate on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis as part of the ongoing integrity of the financial results.
- Ensure financial results meet IFRS and local GAAP accounting standards. Manages financial allocations and assessments in SAP and reporting.
- Responsible for all management aspects of cash management, travel and expense management, banking relationships, payroll finance support, accounts payable & receivable and all other financial accounting aspects.
- Ensures regulatory compliance, including all statutory obligations in relation to taxes. Provides finance support to the HCD function for payroll related matters and statutory obligations.
- Business Partner to the AU & NZ & Bondi Sands Global business to review provisions and accruals.
- Delivers and administers internal controls and compliance thereof. Implements controls to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the financial reporting adherence, including policies and procedures.
- Manages the internal and external audit function.
- Leads finance SAP and other systems, such as Concur/OpenText.
What you will need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance & Member of a Professional Accounting Body
- 10+ years in related Finance and related Management experience
- 5+ years experience in managing staff
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
- Experience with SAP/BI/BPC is preferred.
- Motivated self-starter who can effectively work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Requires strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks to ensure that all assignments and projects are completed in an organized, efficient, accurate manner within established deadlines.
- Exhibit strong analytical, written, and verbal skills with the ability to speak and communicate clearly.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop staff to achieve company goals and to complete work assignments in a timely manner.
- Requires the ability to analyse information to determine trends, monitor budgets/activities, make financial recommendation and to identify discrepancies and deficiencies in a timely manager.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to create an executive presentation and deliver technical information in a simple and easy to understand format to employees and executives at all levels.
- Requires strong people skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Must be able to interact with all employees and customers at all levels to resolve issues and discrepancies.
- Ability to maintain confidential information and resolve sensitive issues and discrepancies in an effective manner.
- May require working additional hours in the evening, weekends and on holidays.
- May require travel domestically and internationally via car, train, boat, air and/or mass transit.
