About the role
In this role you’ll help promote the City of Greater Geelong by leading digital and traditional marketing campaigns, managing website content, and supporting the Marketing team. Working with the Manager, Marketing, you’ll drive creative strategies and build strong stakeholder relationships to boost the City’s profile and deliver impactful results.
Work type: Permanent full time
Classification: Band 8 commencing at $122,040 pa plus super
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor and analyse digital performance using analytics tools, providing insights and making data-driven adjustments to improve campaign effectiveness.
- Manage and optimise website to enhance user experience and engagement while staying current with best practices in digital marketing.
- Mentor and guide Marketing Officers on SEO and SEM best practices, ensuring the team’s growth and adherence to best practices in digital marketing.
- Support change initiatives and contribute to the business unit’s culture to ensure it is inclusive, customer focused, results driven and accountable.
- Align work activities to the department Business Plans and Strategy, supporting implementation and balancing value for our community and customers, within financial and resource constraints.
- Implement systems, processes, and workflows to deliver results, ensuring relevant policies, governance mechanisms, and regulations are adhered to.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have a tertiary qualification in Marketing, PR, Advertising, Communications or a relevant field and/or significant senior leadership experience in Digital Marketing.
Essential Experience:
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and practices related to marketing and promotions.
- Demonstrated people skills to support, influence, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
- Well-developed writing, presentation, and speaking skills to align with stakeholders and achieve support for task outcomes.
- Well-developed problem solving and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build collaboration and partnerships.
- Tactical marketing and communication skills, including influencing stakeholders to achieve support to deliver outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in the effective management of and application of brand(s).
- Demonstrated experience in overseeing digital platforms inclusive of social media accounts, website and direct customer marketing (such as EDMs).
- Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
- Current Working with Children Card (employee).
