Competitive Salary: Band 8 - $133,367 plus 12% superannuation
Location: Corporate Centre in Sandringham, with the flexibility to work from home two days per week

About the Role:

The Coordinator Service and Efficiency provides strong leadership to the unit, which includes business support officers, infringement appeals officers and a service efficiency officer.

The role is also responsible for the delivery of all projects, including;

  • Innovative and smart ways of working in a regulatory space.
  • System and process improvements.
  • Management of the department's annual continuous improvement program.
  • Legislative reviews (Local Law review, DAMP - Domestic animal management plan review).

The role will ensure the Amenity Protection department will lead in providing a positive customer experience, efficient, transparent and trusted processes.

Key Selection Criteria:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

  • Demonstrated experience in successful team leadership and people management.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, change management and delivery of effective and efficient projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in system and process improvement.
  • A sound knowledge of the function and role of Local Government, specifically the regulatory and compliance environment, including relevant Acts and legislation.

Mandatory pre-employment requirements:

  • Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
  • Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
