About us The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) is the leading advocate for surgical standards, professionalism and surgical education in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The College is a not-for-profit organisation that represents more than 8600 surgeons and 1300 surgical trainees and Specialist International Medical Graduates. RACS also supports healthcare and surgical education in the Asia-Pacific region and is a substantial funder of surgical research. There are nine surgical specialties in Australasia being: Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery.
About the role You will design and deliver technology solutions that enable our organisation to achieve its strategic objectives. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams, bridging the gap between enterprise architecture and practical solution delivery. In this role, you will: • Design and document solution architectures across applications, data, integration, and infrastructure. • Translate business requirements into practical, high-quality solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards. • Collaborate with stakeholders, project teams, and external vendors to ensure effective solution delivery. • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to support implementation. • Evaluate and recommend technology options, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with RACS’ strategic goals. • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends, applying these insights to solution design. Skills and Experience • Strong IT experience, including at least experience in solution architecture roles. • Strong technical expertise across applications, infrastructure, integration, and data. • Solid experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, Power Platform, and Power Apps. • Knowledge of Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions) and modern architectural patterns. • Experience with APIs, web services, and CI/CD practices. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical designs into business-focused outcomes. • A collaborative and adaptable approach, aligned with RACS values.
